Today, the Douglas County Clerk and Recorder issued a Statement of Sufficiency, certifying that the 3-to-5 Initiative has qualified for the November 2026 ballot.
In March, signature collection began for the 3-to-5 DougCo Petition, aimed at expanding the Douglas County Board of Commissioners from three members to five and electing at least some of those five commissioners by district. Douglas County currently has three county commissioners elected at-large and serving a population of more than 400,000 residents.
